Final Blog Post of the Semester

My group chose gang violence and we hope to bring more awareness to gangs and how they can avoid them by joining sports or helping out the community during there spare time.

This currently exist in our community. Not to long ago a boy named Jose Luis was killed because of gang violence. They thought he was a rival and shot him and his friends in his car.

I think a way I can help change is by making people around me aware of the dangers in being in a gang. Telling the little children the truth of what happens when the time comes. Also making sure that kids have something to do like sports to avoid getting into trouble.

Nelson Mandela

"do not judge me by my successes, judge me by how many times I fell down and got back up again."  ~ Nelson Mandela

This quote means that your motivation, strength, and courage to keep going after you have failed so many time is what really matter and counts. Yes, success may be nice but anyone can have it. If you struggle and work your hardest to achieve something it's value will multiply by 100s.

If I had to struggle for something to go right and it does, it will be more appreciative and really value what I have archived more that other things I have accomplished. It's not the fact that others judge you it's more of how you feel about what you achieved. It may of took many tries and a lot of time but in the end it is all worth it.

Staying Focused and Being Consistent!

“You just take one day at a time and ignore the noise. It's about staying focused and being consistent on a daily basis - that's what a pro does."  -Russell Wilson

I think what he means is by forgetting all the talk about the game and focusing on what is really important and give it your all is the only thing that matters in the end. All one can do is fix their mistakes by learning from them so it your content of what you achieved they you did it.

Current Event Round 6 Happens Today!

http://money.cnn.com/2013/12/05/news/economy/obamacare-insured/index.html?iid=SF_E_River

The article I chose for the topic of economic is about Obamacare. You can apply and fill the application but you have to pay your first month’s s premium by your insurer's due date, which in California’s case its January 6th. The article explains that if you cannot pay the fee by the due date your application will be terminated. Once that occurs you will have to wait to do it all over again the following period. Many people are not aware that you have to do the last step and pay the fee for it to be submitted. Also, the due date deadlines People applying do not realize that there is a deadline and have to follow it.

This is very important because many people are being confused by the obamacare applications and not aware of the steps that are mandatory. There needs to be informations on the deadlines of each state on the front page of the website. If it wasn't for this article many of us still wouldn't be informed of the issue occurring.

This affects us because many of our parents or family members could be applying for obamacare. If we do not know the mandatory steps that need to be completed with the application we will just blow it off. Also, there needs to be some sort of section with all the deadline due dates so that those who are trying to apply can do it on time. Mandatory steps that need to be done should be made clear that they must complete or the will not be covered/insured the starting of the new year.

December!

I am literally an adult, I'm 18 years old but I really don't have any responsibilities that are major. I wash my clothes, clean my room, help around the house, soccer, and school to really focus on. My dad doesn't want me to work so I can focus on school and also because I'm the only girl, the princess! Maybe later my responsibility will be a job. Overall I have it pretty smooth.
